I'll be standing at the front door of the church waiting for you. Calvary Baptist Church 5201 Dayton Blvd Chattanooga, TN 37415, 423-875-8154 Call the church if you need more information.

Welcome!!! You are now a member of a group of fellow disciples, believers and
students. We are all working together to strengthen our relationship with Jesus
Christ, our families and each other. We will study together, fellowship together
and pray together. As we draw closer to the Lord Jesus Christ we will begin to
see great changes in our lives. We will be more patient, understanding and
loving toward our fellow man. We will be at peace with ourselves, and with
God!!! God will begin to use us in His service as we yield ourselves to His
control and leadership. Old sinful habits will will be gone as we replace them
with God's will for our lives.

We have ten principles that we live by as well as every word that proceeds from
the mouth of God.

Here are the principles:
1. If God's against it , so am I.
2. Every sin has its origin in our hearts.
3. It is easier to keep the heart clean than to
clean it after it has been defiled.
4. We cannot fight a fleshly appetite by
indulging in it.
5. Small compromises lead to great disasters
(otherwise known as little sins lead to big
sins).
6. Those who do not love the Lord will not help
us serve the Lord.
7. Our sinful habits do hurt those who are
following us.
8. It is not possible to fight a fleshly temptation
with fleshly weapons.
9. We lose our freedom to choose when we
give in to temptation. The consequences of
our choices are inevitable, incalculable and up
to God.
10.God balances guilt with blame. Accept the
blame for your actions and God will remove
the guilt.

By following these principles and God's word (the bible) we can get our lives on
the right track and keep them there.
We are here to help, to encourage and to be your friends and fellow believers.
We care about you.
Remember, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. We are all working together to
think right...

The greatest step you can take in your life is accepting God's Word (the Bible) as the Truth. God outlines his plan for salvation - the way to eternal life. You can stop living in today and begin a life-long journey of growth in Christ. If you're ready for a change then read the plan of salvation below (taken right out of the Bible).

1. Accept the fact that you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

2. The payment for your sin is death.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

3. The payment for your sins was paid in full.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

4. Believe in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection and trust
Him to save you from sin's penalty.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name;

5. Call upon Him (in prayer) and God will answer.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

One of the best habits I have ever acquired is reading a chapter in Proverbs every day. This book is filled with so much practicality for day-to-day living. The underlying meanings taught in this book prove as applicable today as the day they were first written. No matter your occupation or vocation, the truths taught in Proverbs are intended by God to help us overcome every difficult circumstance in life... if, and only if you search out their underlying meanings. That is the purpose of a proverb.
When I read a daily Proverb, I am often prompted by the Holy Spirit and led to dissect, define and paraphrase a few of the verses. This helps me to better understand what God is trying to teach me.

Question: How do you motivate students to participate in the program?
Answer: We have created an awards based program, similar to the one God
created for those who obey Him. Awards are given for completing challenges and participating in activities and more..
